PROJECTiONE

PROJECTiONE [n. proj-ekt wuhn] is a collective started in 2009 as a collaborative thesis, focused on contemporary relationships between digital and analog processes in design and fabrication. PROJECTiONE defines itself through new understandings of tools, processes, and methods that reveal innovative solutions to design problems and expressions of craft.

The group, Elizabeth Boone, Eric Brockmeyer, Adam Buente, and Kyle Perry are recent graduates of Ball State University’s Master of Architecture program and Research Fellows of the Institute for Digital Fabrication. Though they have various approaches to design, they have partnered in the pursuit of a common goal, a true collective, not defined as specialists within a group. PROJECTiONE is based on a shared love of making, a pull towards new understandings of technology, and a unique and uncommon design aesthetic. Their projects engage digital and analog methods, reinforcing one another in support of a practice constrained by the realities of making.
